Hands of Doom - Volume I (Under Construction)
- Hands of Doom:
The Hands of Doom are those forces that humanity has fallen victim to
since the beginning of time: hate, envy, prejudice, arrogance (and many others).
We have a choice - solve our differences or die.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
put it even better: ``We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools."
This song is about the end, when the seals of humanity are broken and the flood
of hate destroys us all. Lyrics and Music © 2006 Alan Polansky and Jeff Reynolds.

- Bleed the Poor:
As you drive in the poorest of neighborhoods in this state there is one constant: advertisements
for the state lottery. It seems that since Illinois is unable to solve the problems of our poorest
citizens, the state is implying that the lottery is their only way out - with a 1 in 14 million chance?
This is the best that our "great" state can offer - gambling for poor people?
This song is about the greatest government scam in Illinois (and other states): get the poor to pay, motivating
them with the hope that they can leave their desperate circumstances.
The lottery is not a tax on the stupid - it is a tax on hope.

- Sacrificial Village:
In reprisal for the assasination of Reinhard Heydrich, the small Czech village of Lidice was surrounded by German
Security Forces on June 10, 1942. The village was destroyed, the men murdered, the women sent to concentration camps,
and the children begin either sent to concentration camps or to adoptive German families if they were "aryan" enough.
This song serves as a rememberance of those who died at Lidice.

- Eradicate:
Maybe the world would be better without us - and I mean all of us.
Humanity has not treated its home well - perhaps we should be evicted.

- Vortex of Hate:
This song is about the favorite pasttime of humanity: hating each other.
Again, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. says it the best:
``Like an unchecked cancer, hate corrodes the personality and eats away its vital unity.
Hate destroys a man's sense of values and his objectivity.
It causes him to describe the beautiful as ugly and the ugly as beautiful,
and to confuse the true with the false and the false with the true.''
